*Why Islam is the Fastest Growing Religion?*

There are approximately 1.8 billion Muslims in the world.* (Pew Research). The 2nd largest religion in the world, with Christianity being the 1st with 2.8 billion. Catholics remain the largest Christian group with almost 1.26 billion adherents

1. *High birth rates* account for 96 percent of Islam’s growth; The Muslim birth rate is 3.1 children per female of child-bearing age, compared to 1.7 for non-Muslim females. 

2. *forced conversions* account for an additional 3 percent. 

3. *Pologamy*:  Muslim men may keep up to four wives at a time, and have multiple children.

4. *Conversions* through mixed marriages. 

*Points to Ponder*

5. While Muslim populations are exploding, *birth control and abortion* in western countries are driving non-Muslim populations into extinction.

6. According to new population projections by the *Pew Research Center’s Forum on Religion and Public Life*, the world Muslim population is expected to increase by about 35 percent in the next twenty years, rising from 1.6 billion in 2010 to 2.2 billion by 2030.
